It’s that time of year ago – Barnstable County Fair week on Cape Cod. I’ve always thought of fairs as appropriate for kids only. That is, until I discovered the Barnstable County Fair about 15 years ago on a family vacation to the Cape. I was traveling with my boyfriend (now husband’s) family and we were all over the age of 18. Even though there were no little ones in tow, we had a blast. The fair truly has something for everyone from games to rides to live entertainment to animal shows, demolishion derbies, horticulture displays, and arts and crafts vendors.
The fair is a throwback in time. So get ready for some old fashioned funnel cake, ring tosses, and sea lion tricks. The fair runs daily from noon until 10pm and tickets are $10/adult.
